AMAZING. Absolutely huge area to explore, over 64 different display buildings, all kept in great condition. Very friendly staff and the cafe inside has GF and vegan options. Happy wife.

It was fantastic,we stayed until closing time! Couldn't believe the variety of different displays. Wonderful staff. Differently need at least 3 hours to see most of this village. Lunch was terrific from the cafeteria. Highly recommended 😃

We had a wonderful day yesterday visiting the historic village Hernerton. Such a great collection of items from buildings to tractors to sewing machines. Cars medical implements and even a collection of glass eyes. We really enjoyed the stream train ride too. Really worth a visit.

If you in to history and old machinery, this is the place to visit We spent 4 hours there and haven't seen all of it

Excellent, excellent. Well worth to see our past.everything was well set out and easy to see.you can take a dog on a leash and there is refreshment about half way round.takes a couple hours to see.you get a three day revisit ticket.

A Walk Back in Time The Historic Village, Herberton has the best display of artefacts, small and large. From each precious tea cup to the earliest John Deere tractor to the elegantly decorated homestead. The delicious outback cooking of damper with syrup, billy tea, beefy stew + more made by Bushy & his partner Shannon was outstanding. Ensure you have at least 5hrs to enjoy this historical gem. Loved it!!

Beautifully restored historic village - well worth the entry fee. We came to this not expecting too much but this place would have to be one of the best historic villages we have been to. Well set out with heaps of information, options of audio tour on your phone as well. Great food cooked in the open fire, damper was delicious! Really enjoyed our visit and the whole place is spotlessly clean! Very dog friendly, they’re allowed in all the buildings. Would highly recommend and you can get your ticket signed off to go back within 3 days.

Takes you back in history! Arrived on a quiet Monday which was great. Lots to look at, it is a really interesting 'living museum' and I would recommend you spend at least 3 or 4 hours. Most of it under some cover so great for hot/rainy days! It was dog friendly. Staff at the reception and cafe were really helpful and friendly. When you purchase a ticket, you can get a free return visit within 3 days making it great value.

Attended the pioneers weekend. So well organised! Amazing turn out! Couldn’t fault anything from the day!

Nice Historical village, they allowed us to take our dogs in the park which was great as we travel with our pets, there is a lot of stuff here, worth a visit.

This place is an absolute Jem & should be advertised all over Australia & worldwide.16 acres of late 1800s & 1900s old cars, tin mining machinery, steam machines, bulldozers, amazing early 1900s John Deere tractors, toys, dolls, fire engines, steam train rides, stage coaches, and an awesome 30 minuite massive movie screen of the past and every piece of memorabilia you could ever imagine. It's way to much to see in a full day. This is a must, must, must, visit for young & old. And you'll take home amazing memories.Tell everyone you know about this place. You'll be very impressed

THIS IS A 1ST CLASS HISTORICAL VILLAGE EXPERIENCE. I’VE SEEN MANY OF THESE OVER THE COUNTRY BUT THIS PLACE BLOWS MY MIND. PLAN TO SPEND AT LEAST A DAY OR TWO.

This is a very interesting and value packed historic village. I would visit again without hesitation. Great value and don’t forget to experience the Billy tea, damper and corned beef sandwich.

Fantastic. We read reviews and were sure to allow plenty of time, and we absolutely needed it. The cafe is wonderful too.The smell of diesel with the demonstrations of old vehicles and machines was a bit much, but thankfully, the village is so huge you can just wander off somewhere else.What a treasure!

Sadly, I could only spare a couple of hours to see the Village, but would have liked to have spent 2 or 3 days browsing each of the 62 buildings. It was the most amazing collection of yesteryear that I have ever seen. Many childhood memories came to mind as I browsed. An amazing place to visit and a credit to its owners and all its friendly staff. I loved it. If you're a history buff or just an oldie like me, you will love it too. A bonus is that dogs are welcome too. Many thanks.

Amazing place to visit! Cafe serves THE BEST Corned beef sandwich ive ever eaten! Everyone so friendly and very knowledgable! 10/10 recommended for all ages!

We loved the Historic Village. Displays were very informative and interesting. We particularly loved the motor museum and the dedication to keep the vehicles and machines running and in pristine condition.

Herberton Historic Village exceeded all expectations. The attention to detail in the preservation and presentation of the buildings, tools, machinery, and everyday artifacts is outstanding. It’s not just a collection of old stuff – it genuinely feels like stepping back in time. Staff were passionate and knowledgeable, happy to share stories and answer questions. The blacksmith demonstration was a highlight, as was the old schoolhouse and printing press. You can easily spend several hours here, and still feel like you’ve only scratched the surface. Loved the layout – it’s spacious, well-organised, and easy to navigate. Great signage, and lots of hands-on displays. You can really see the effort and care that’s gone into keeping this history alive. The café onsite was also great – friendly service and good ice-cream to cool us down, which was a nice bonus after a few hours exploring. If you’re even remotely interested in Aussie history or just want a meaningful day out, this place is a must. Worth every cent of the entry fee. Highly recommend.

Amazing place to see our history and the way our ancestors lived and made Australia. Beautifully preserved and presented, go get yourself an amazing thick shake and chicken Cesar salad yum O. Staff members were so welcoming and informative. A must see if you are ever here, allow a full day, we went back for a second day, which was great because you noticed things you might have missed on the first day. So much memorabilia to see. Best of all for us was it being dog friendly. Our dogs and our son loved it too. Thanks again.

If you like history then this is the place to visit absolutely fantastic. Spent 4hrs here could have spent more , but ran out of time. This town has a lot of history so allow a full day

5☆ what a wonderful meander through these impressive grounds. everything about this place is nostalgic of a time without internet and globalisation. we had a superb treat on the Wild River banks - camp-oven Billy Tea, beef stew and fruit cake. A Must Do!

Freaking AWESOME! Just amazing! Wow, well done to the guys who had tremendous forsight and money to set this place up. One of the best places in Australia. Just fantastic. Thus is not a kids playground but there is an area for them to play. It is quite simply one of the best museums/private owned establishments with so much historic content that I am in awe of their generosity for generations to come. So very, very well done to not only the founders but the people who maintain the village. This is a the most solid 10 out of 10 ever. P.s. to experience the truely vast village spend the WHOLE day there. We didnt and went back the next day wishing we had allocated a whole day to the experience. The farm machinery is just fantastic.
